Customizing Email Notifications Settings

SeaSketch projects automatically send active users regular email notifications. You can opt for weekly or daily updates on project activity, or immediate updates on forum activity in discussions you've participated in. We set your notification preferences based on our records of your usage, but you can easily change them in your profile information as follows:
  1. Once signed in to a project, click your name at top right, and select My Profile.
  2. At the bottom of the profile window, see the Notification Preferences section.
  3. Tick the boxes/circles that correspond with your desired notification settings. The below screenshot displays settings for both daily project updates and immediate forum activity updates.
  4. Select 'Save changes'.

About Email Notification Options

Daily & Weekly Summaries

These emails notify subscribed users of updates to the project, including links to new data layers and discussion forum activity. If the forum or data layers are password protected, you may be asked to log in before viewing the forum. 

Forum Activity Notifications
In addition to weekly or daily summaries, you may subscribe to receive immediate email updates on new activity in forums that you have participated. Be sure to receive these notifications by checking the box next to 'Notify me when there are new posts in forum topics that I've participated in.' The update emails will include direct links to those new forum posts. If the forum is password protected, you may be asked to log in before viewing the forum.
