Daily & Weekly Summaries
These emails notify subscribed users of updates to the project, including links to new data layers and discussion forum activity. If the forum or data layers are password protected, you may be asked to log in before viewing the forum.Forum Activity Notifications
In addition to weekly or daily summaries, you may subscribe to receive immediate email updates on new activity in forums that you have participated, called Topic Updates. Be sure you receive these notifications by checking the box next to 'Notify me when there are new posts in forum topics that I've participated in.' The update emails will include direct links to those new forum posts. If the forum is password protected, you may be asked to log in before viewing the forum.In addition, admin users can choose to disable Topic Updates for a specific discussion thread at the time of posting, by selecting 'Silence email notifications for this topic' (see below).

How are user default Notification Preferences set?
Your users have been assigned default Notification Settings based on their project usage. They can always change these following these instructions. If they belong to multiple SeaSketch projects, they may have different settings in either project. Users with higher usage are subscribed to Daily Summary emails, while users with low to medium usage will receive Weekly Summary emails instead. This includes anyone who has simply logged into and looked at the project. Anyone who has posted to a forum discussion will also receive Topic Update emails, that notify them of new posts in those discussions in near-real time.
How can I disable the Email Notification feature for the project?
As an administrative user, you can disable Email Notifications for all users. If you would instead like to simply change your personal email notification settings, or advise a user on how to adjust their settings, please view instructions here.Sign in -> select 'admin' link -> scroll down within 'Basic Info' tab -> find the 'Email Notifications' panel -> select the green 'Active' button to turn this feature off
