If you wish to export a plan (sketch) to be used in a third party application, you may do so. Currently, you can export plans as shapefiles for use in ArcGIS Desktop and other GIS applications. To do so, simply go to the My Plans tab, select the sketch you wish to download, choose "edit" and "export to shapefile". 

The shapefile will be packaged and delivered as a single, compressed (zipped) file.
